"More comfy than my crate"

It's been a busy (and frustrating) weekend at home. Les is still in the process of replacing the kitchen, so we are living off takeaways and micro meals!
Les has a bad back due to all the lifting he has been doing, and has had to sleep downstairs on the pull out bed (spot the totally spoiled dog! She was in her crate all night though, we just let her up for a treat )
 

 

I have taken Ellie on her walks this weekend. She has been good all in all, though yesterday she ran after a man on a bike and would NOT come when called. Fortunately we were in the country park where there are no cars. The country park is great for off lead walking, but there are an awful lot of people on bikes, so I will have to keep her on lead more than I would like.
I was a bit worried that I may be walking her a little too far, as I was reading last night that it should be 5 minutes for every month, so, Ellie should have about a 20 min walk. It takes about 45 minutes round trip to Weetslade from where I live. Most of that is off road and grass. (we could make it in about 30 minutes if Ellie didn't greet and sniff everything that moves on the way lol!). I think I will cut the walk down by half, just for the next few weeks to see how she goes.
