Off-Lead Walking

Well, my oldest decided against going to puppy classes on Monday, so I got to go along. Ellie did well, she was a lot less fractious than she has been in the first couple of classes.
She totally loved playing on the outdoor agility equipment!
We got 'chastised' by the trainer for not having let her go 'off lead'. (all the other owners smugly said 'yes' when asked if they had done it  lol) SO we gave it a go this week! She is doing really well (though her recall skills need fine tuning as she is easily distracted).
I'm really glad the trainer pointed this out as she gets to run off a lot more energy this way. I would have waited a few more months to train her to run off-lead, but, as the trainer pointed out, in the early months they are much more dependent on you, so far less likely to run away! (something I hadn't thought of). 
Just got back in from a good old run down the ash path, and she is totally exhausted :
