In the Dog House!

My word, what a day I've had with Ellie! She has been SO bad on her 2 walks today.
She has suddenly 'gone deaf' with no recall whatsoever.
On the first walk, I took her down the railway line path. I said I wouldn't go down there again, but though I would give it another try....BIG mistake. She found one very large, dead, decapitated rabbit, and a huge dead bird. Trying to get her back on lead was just impossible as she scooted between the two (carrying them up to me then shooting off at great speed). It took me a full 25 minutes to 'catch' her. By this time I was exhausted, hot and very annoyed (she knew it too, as once on lead she didn't leave my side). I walked her sternly home and put her straight to bed.
So, to the second walk (which, in hindsight I should have left to the hubby). I took her to Weetslade. I usually walk her on the path, but took her over a more secluded grassy hill to give her some time off lead. Got halfway along the path and she managed to 'spot' a little Jack Russell on the path below. She pelted full speed down to 'play' with him (he was on lead). She completely ignored me when I was shouting for her to come, so I had to run down the side of the grassy hill (whilst the owner grabbed her by the collar). I apologised profusely, but he was really lovely and said his dog could do with being friendlier.
So, all this naughtiness, punctuated with her eating every flavour of dog poo along the way has landed her well and truly in my bad books for the day!
