None Stop Rain!

Well, we have had rain non stop for the last 24 hours or so here in the North East. There are severe weather warnings in various parts of the North East (as well as other parts of the U.K.)
This means Ellie's excursions have been a lot shorter than usual. It was so bad this morning I could only take her for a walk around the housing estates in my area. Our usual walks would have been flooded. It was literally teaming down with rain, we both got soaked (not to self....do not were mascara in the rain! I looked like a panda by the time we got home).
I need to invest in a waterproof coat for Ellie for the winter. Wet dog is not a good smell!
She has been really well behaved today, considering she didn't get her usual amount of exercise.
I get the feeling she doesn't like being photographed, as, when I got my phone out to snap her today she headed under the table:

She got a little bit bored by late evening, as her Dad came straight in from work and went upstairs to do a bit more work for a couple of hours. She was delighted when he did appear though :

I love seeing them together, she just loves him so much.
He has now braved the rain and taken her on her evening walk (it's going to be very smelly in here in a little while, they will get soaked). Hopefully the rain will have stopped by tomorrow so she can have a good old run and play.

Edit:
I forgot that Les had bought himself a Leather Waxed hat just for nights like this! (the kids think he looks daft, but it's a brilliant idea for the bad weather we have been having).
 They just got back in:
