Well, the peace didn't last long! Ellie seems to be back on form (she is barking at Les as I type, she is being so naughty tonight..........she is now 'crated' as she has been slightly too vocal lo!).
She is just a little frustrated at the moment, as she is getting no off lead walks with her being in heat. She still gets long walks, but she really loves to run free :(
Ellie is one year old this week, and what a year it's been!
She is a total delight! Fun, high energy, excitable, loving, boisterous, beautiful......naughty, petulant, demanding, attention seeking....the list goes on.
Whatever you read about Dallies believe! They are an extraordinary breed, highly intelligent, with a mind of their own, but so very loving and loyal.
When we went to visit the litter way back in February this year, we went as a family (5 of us). We each got to hold one of the puppies (they were 5 weeks old). I got Ellie (who was called Elsie at the time) to hold. She immediately 'snuggled' into my shoulder and licked my face (at the time we didn't know which puppy we would get). I am so pleased we got Ellie in the end. It's nice to remember the very first time I held her!
As I say, she is unbelievably loving. She has a particular soft spot for Les (hubby):
