Poorly Dally :(

Ellie is coming to the end of her first heat, and has been poorly the last few days

She has been vomiting, high temp and not drinking anything. She has literally slept on the sofa for the best part of 2 days (not even getting up for a pee in the mornings). Les fed her a little last night and she seemed to rally for a while, but I came down this morning to vomit and the same exhausted Dally :(

Anyway Les worked from home today and we have just had her to the vets.

The vet was concerned that she may have Pyrometra (uterine infection). Ellie has a high temp, which shows she probably has an infection somewhere. She checked her for dehydration, but she was fine. She said she couldn't rule out Pyrometra without doing a scan, I said yes straight away, Les agreed (though he wasn't convinced she needed it)

Anyway, upshot is she doesn't in fact, have Pyrometra, it is probably just an infection 

The vet gave her some antibiotics and an anti sickness jab. All of which came to a total of £165 including the scan (good job she's insured)

We have to take her back on Saturday just to check all is well. She is now back in her preferred position on the sofa, flat out. I do hope she gets better soon, I miss my mischievous Dally!
