The last few nights have been distinctly chilly here in Newcastle. This has prompted me to think about Ellie's bedding. Over the last few months she has been sleeping on a thin mattress with a few blankets on top. Initially she did have a lovely little bed in her crate Before Ellie
This lasted only a few weeks unfortunately as she ripped it to shreds with her tiny 'shark teeth'.
So, I decided to get her another bed.We looked at a few, but, most of the 'large' beds were too small for her (I bought a couple and had to take them both back). Eventually (after hours of searching) we went to Pets at Home and bought her a lovely cosy Memory Foam Mattress. She loves it! It has certainly solved the problem of training he to go to 'bed', as now, when you say the command, she happily trots into the kitchen and plonks herself down in her crate:
She has become a lot more boisterous and 'mouthy' over the last few days, which may mean one of two things: teething again (she has at least one tooth still to come in), or she may be coming into her first heat.
I am trying to get her used to on lead walking for the whole walk (on alternate walks) for when she does come into her heat. She hates to be on lead during the whole walk, so I will have to sort out new and interesting routes to take her. We are yet to discuss Spaying. I am going to see how she copes with her first heat before we broach the subject!
