I am in the process of getting Ellie used to being on lead for the whole of some of her walks.
Now, I have lived in this area for well over 20 years, and have never taken a walk around
It is only about half a mile from where I live.So I took Ellie yesterday. It was lovely! You wouldn't think that it was nestled in between a housing estate and an industrial estate.
The only problem I had with Ellie was when some of the swans (there are a lot of swans) decided to fly over the water! Ellie completely freaked out. If she hadn't had her 'face' lead on she would have pulled me into the water! So we made a hasty retreat back into the housing estate.

When I look around at where we live, I think we are fortunate to live in old Colliery Village, as there has been so much reclamation work done in the surrounding areas to improve the old pit sites.
